STMicroelectronics: LIS3MDL, 3-axis standalone digital Magnetometer complete range of sensors delivering ultimate design flexibility

LIS3MDL is a 3-axis ultra-low power magnetometer with high performances in a very small package. This sensor is ideal for 3-axis compass, gesture recognition, magnetic field sensing and personal navigation applications. The device can be combined with other ST MEMS such as accelerometer and gyroscope to build sensors with as many as 9 degrees of freedom (DOF). With this standalone magnetometer, ST is completing its offer and provides a flexible architecture for sensing.

Combining with ST’s iNEMO Engine Sensor Fusion software which delivers accurate and reliable motion-sensing information, designers can further enhance multiple-DOF (M-DOF) sensing that is easy to integrate into smart device applications.
