TE Connectivity announces the release of the ITB (Inverted Thru-Board) card edge connector, providing a direct power connection between driver boards and the underside of LED array boards. This 2 position, surface mount connector offers
cableless perpendicular mating in a space saving power connection ideal for compact LED assembly designs such as those found in today’s retrofit lamps and bulbs.

This low profile design extends only 1.5mm above the LED mounted board, minimizing light obstruction and is available in two versions accepting either 1.0mm or 1.2mm thick driver boards

Benefits

• SMT process compatibility save time by eliminating the need for secondary processes

• One piece mating solution for faster and easier assembly operation

• Low profile, rounded corner design minimizes LED light obstruction

• Offered in two versions to accept 1.0 mm or 1.2 mm thick PC boards

• Solderable SMT retainers provide stability during driver board mating and un-mating

• Flat top surface allows for vacuum pick up, supporting automated pick-and-place assembly

•Tape and reel packaging ideal for high speed SMT processing

Mechanical

• Operating temperature: - 40° to +125°C

• Mating cycles: 5 max.

• Mating force: 20N max

Materials

• Housing: High temperature resistant thermoplastic UL94V0 flammability rating

• Contact:Copper alloy, tin over nickel plating
