XP Power today announced the DLA series of AC input LED drivers with output power ranges of 50, 75, 100, 120 and 150 W. These highly efficient units, rated at greater than 85% for the 50 Watt and up to 94% for the 150 W models, have a high power factor input ranging from 0.85 to 0.99 depending on the model. The drivers are available with either constant current or constant voltage outputs, with the constant voltage models offering the popular nominal outputs of +12, +18, +24, + 36, +42, +48, +54 or +105 VDC, and constant current models from 350 – 5950 mA. The output voltage of the constant current models is determined by the load.
With their IP67 rating, providing protection from the ingress of dust or water to a depth of 1 metre, the DLA series suit outdoor applications such as street, tunnel, stage or architectural lighting and traffic signals. Accommodating an extremely wide range of input voltages, from 90 – 305 VAC, they are ideally suited to the 277 VAC nominal requirement for street furniture across the United States.
The drivers have a wide operating temperature range of -35 degrees C to +60 degrees C for the DLA50 and -35 degrees C to + 70 degrees C for all other models.  All units meet the international safety approval standards EN61347 and UL8750. They also comply with the Class B EN55015 requirements for conducted and radiated emissions.  The DLA series is available from Farnell or direct from XP Power.
