XP Power release 15 Watt DIP24 DC-DC Converters with either 2:1 or 4:1 input ranges

http://www.xppower.com/products/JCG_JTFpr.jpgXP Power today announced two new families to their line-up of ultra compact metal cased 15 Watt DC-DC converters. Available in an industry standard 24 pin DIP measuring just 31.75 x 20.32 x 10.16 mm (1.25 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches), the JCG15 and JTF15 series offer a power density of up to 37.5 Watts per cubic inch with an efficiency of up to 91%. Their compact size conserves board space, and the highly efficient design results in less wasted heat, assisting in the thermal management of the end system.

Providing the popular nominal inputs of + 12, + 24 or +48 VDC, the JCG15 series accommodates wide 2:1 input ranges of 9 - 18 VDC, 18 - 36 VDC and 36 - 75 VDC, with the JTF15 accepting ultra wide 4:1 inputs of 9 - 36 VDC and 18 - 75 VDC. Both single and dual output models are available. Single outputs are + 3.3, + 5.1, + 12 or + 15 VDC and duals are +/- 5, +/- 12 or +/- 15 VDC.

The converters have an input to output and input/output to case isolation of 1,600 VDC. A remote on/off signal control is standard across the range and can be used to control the output rails or to sequence start-up procedures. All units feature overvoltage and continuous short circuit protection.

These highly efficient DC-DC converters operate from - 40 degrees C to + 100 degrees C for the JCG series and + 105 degrees C for the JTF series.

The JTF and JCG series suit a wide variety of mobile, portable and wireless applications.

The JCG and JTF are available from Newark, Farnell & element14, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and come with a 3 year warranty.
