Poll: What EDA/PCB software do you use?

We're interested in finding out what EDA/PCB software is currently the most popular, so please take a second and let us know!  Also, in the comments section, please let us know if you consider yourself a hobbyist or professional and if you use a different tool in the workplace.  Thanks!

  • I use an old program called Cadint. I have used it for 20 years now but I am looking out for a new program to use.
    My usage is 2-4 and rarely 6 layers. I do a  few boards a year depending on my productivity :-)
    Some boards have bga's too. This year I have some more projects going and will probably do 15-20 boards.
    I currently look at Altium Circuit Studio as I like the one time license model better than monthly fees.
    Eagle Cad is also interesting but I do not like the subscription model they have.

    What else should I look into ?

    Hi,

    Circuit Studio is a dead end for pro and hobby use (no software release for half a decade, and it is deliberately crippled to ensure differentiators to Altium Designer - which essentially makes a conflict of interest for Altium, for developing or not developing features which the customer actually wants!). 

    From the voting list above, and from the comments, there are lots of alternative options - all better than considering Circuit Studio.
