Multi-orders being enabled?

One of the interesting snippets of information that we learned from the Maker Faire video that Drew linked here -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIf4Fk2252A  -- is that Eben expects Element 14 to enable multi-orders for Raspberry Pi on its website this week (he mentions it at around 14:00 minutes into the video).

Was that possibility mentioned anywhere else, such as in Element 14 emails or by Jenny on the RPF blog?

His comments also made me wonder whether the two partners will continue to be symmetrical in that respect, because he specifically asked the person in the audience who raised the question which distributor they were signed up with.  I can't quite make out the final word in Eben's comment "I can't speak for <someone>", but perhaps that was related too.

Anyway, it was a very interesting answer that Eben gave.

Morgaine.

The first one I got (from the missing 8,000 (tm)) won't re-boot if it has been used for a while, I need to pull power for around 10 minutes or so before it is happy.

Second Pi from RS, with *exactly* the same things plugged into it will re-boot quite happily after pulling the power for 20-30 seconds or so.

This sounds very much that you're triggering one of the fuses. Those of course have subtle differences in exact triggering current.

If you need more than half a second of poweroff to reboot a 'pi there is something funny going on. Mine didn't reboot for the first time today. I'm getting better and better at powering off and on again within a short timeframe. So I must've hit the critical 300-500ms mark for the first time today. Now I know to keep it off for close to a second to reliably reboot it.
