Ideas for Raspberry Pi Zero Projects

So, we've got the Raspberry Pi Zero games console here, Problemchild mentioned a great idea about turning an old stereo into a modern media player, and Workshopshed has already designed a Pi Zero case for 3D printing.

All of which makes me wonder what other kinds of projects you guys think the Pi Zero would be ideal for?

And, for that matter, if you have any Pi Zero projects planned yet?

Hi Frederick,

how did you got them ? I saw that here Farnell nor other distributors has not in their listing. I am tempted to make real the idea of the wireless screen, using a Raspi B to replace it when the zero become more diffuse but maybe this will remain a project awaiting for long time.

Considering making a low powered tablet. Between being able to solder on a wifi chip, and things you can clip onto the thing ot add audio out it's doable. Not having the pins makes things both harder and better since you can spread the components out.

I do wonder if having a lipro charger AND the other two on GPIO would be doable but I dunno.. Literally there is a bunch I do not know, but at these prices theoretically I can afford to find out even through making a lot of stupid mistakes.

Another idea is a device that when plugged into a computer/tablet's USB allows you to experience the internet of the 90's, complete with modem noises, wait times on page load, and other stuff. The problem is i literally have no idea how to do that.

Poor vision (as in 20/500 without correction/20/250 with) and shakey hands when doing fine work sorta puts a crimp on that and getting help is.... iffy. i just want to see someone else do it so I know if it can be done, preferably with documentation in case I can change the 'getting help' situation.

Pi Hut had the best deal: £4 for the Pi Zero, as advertised. Shipping was a modest £2.5.

Pimoroni also matched that deal and delivered next day. The shipping is low because the board is thin.

Yes Frederick,

I supposed that they have a guy in-house always sit in front of their laser cutter. But they did the LCD 7 inches support for the PI too. I got it, saw and tested it then when I discovered that it was almost senseless I have done another (also published here) and started selling it with a very limited promotion on Drobott and I continue receiving orders from people that bought at Pimoroni. Unfortunately in this moment I am late with the last batch that will be shipped tomorrow (one week delay) due a domino-effect of the plastic sheets. I will be curious to see how it is done. as a tires spot told some years ago, power is nothing without control
