Very useful. I made up a new card for the PI3 B I have here, including Stretch as the chosen release. After making sure to turn on the Serial port, I realized that for this job I'd need access.

I found the pinouts and added jumper wires to them. And connected my FTDI based adapter to them appropriately. It worked the moment I turned things on.

Of the 40 pins externally available on GPIO, none are related to HDMI pins at all. If you want to know which chip pin is connected to HDMI, you need to look for internal documentation from Broad com.
