I really want to get a raspberry pi but I got a 3d printer and I missed the road test so is there any way to get a raspberry pi free????

To be a maker a Raspberry Pi is not a must. One can start with an Official Arduino Pro Mini which is the cheapest -Arduino- you can get, or start even cheaper with other options like Adafruit Trinket Adafruit…

Hi Andrew, Keep your eyes open and keep participating. There are often opportunities to to win things and even if you don't win the information available on element 14 is worth more than a sack of goodies…

To be a maker a Raspberry Pi is not a must. One can start with an Official Arduino Pro Mini which is the cheapest -Arduino- you can get, or start even cheaper with other options like Adafruit TrinketAdafruit Trinket, the Pololu A-Star 328PB Micro, and countless of other popular options out there (Teensy, Moteino, etc.).... or you know go the made in China route.

All of the options above can be programmed with the Arduino IDE -which is a popular and free. I agree with Gough Lui, a Pi for $35 is not that expensive and, if you definitely are planning to get it for free, you may end up growing grey beard first.

- "Yes, if you wait until the next iteration of the Raspberry Pi gets developed, released and is RoadTested again."
- "Yes, but only if someone's being extra nice and buying you one ... maybe time to start a GoFundMe?"
- "No. But you can buy it from your local retailer. It's not that expensive."
On another note, I really want to get a Raspberry Pi, but I bought a hamburger instead and missed out on the RoadTest. Is there anyway to get a Raspberry Pi free?
