Raspberry Pi Project What do I do next? Help me decide what I should make next please!?

With the shortage soon to be a thing of the past. (knocks on wood)  We hope with the news that Eben stated in a few interviews. This is great but looks like Raspberry Pi 3's are going to be some of the first back in the 3rd quarter available to us then in the next quarter we should be seeing the Pi 4s making their way back.

Not to brag or show off but I have quite a few pi's left from my older projects and projects that I have since scrapped and moved on to something else.

But with all the things pi I want your input to help me on my next build Idea.

having built so many pi projects over the years, even this blog post is being written on my Raspberry Pi Desktop which most would have already known as I do use it as my daily computer if you haven't check out some of my blog posts on it on the community.

make sure that you like the person's idea you like the most as well.  This will let me know which project that you all want to see happen which 100% up to you the community.

things I am looking for are.

1.What model Raspberry Pi should I use?

2.What should I make with it?

3.Why do you want me to make it?

So what pi's are an option:

Pico, Pi Zero,  Pi Zero 2W,  Pi 2, pi 3, pi 3b+, pi 4 2, 4 and 8gb models.

From video game setups, servers, irrigation, time lapse, opencv, nas server, wifi hot spots, photo capture,  motor control,  custom mods and more think outside the pi. even custom hats

open your imagination and lets make something amazing!.

A fully functional/adjustable camera with buttons to control functions and a display - would be very interesting.

Once you are done with the gardening you can perhaps try your hand at construction

Some serious R/C modelling going on there. Impressive moving parts on some of those excavators and not much evidence of stuff getting stuck or broken in general despite the amount of earth/sand being moved around.

Overall coordination was impressive as well, a lot of models working in close proximity.

I have done quite a bit of work with the Pico and extensively expanded the training materials that came with it for the local model railroad group. Here is a PDF of those efforts. Let me know if there are other ideas that should be included: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AisnX5t2p2e6hZpIPze5w87koKVzrA?e=cycc0g

These materials use MicroPython and cover a wide range of device interfaces and better code (I hope).

Some potential for an autonomous bot to do top dressing of a lawn.

I was thinking on the smaller side as gardens and allotments tend to be much smaller over here.

For the big construction / agriculture / snow grooming stuff I think they tend to use GPS plus local differential beacon to help out. Some will work out the optimum cut and fill required for the site to minimise fuel/time.

GPS is perhaps not so useful for the smaller scale stuff. Not sure if any of the indoor positioning systems work well outside or not ? Not something I've seen many projects use but looks like it could be very useful.

Yes, you get the spinning laser levels that can be used outdoors. I guess if you had one lower down than normal, then a lawnmower-sized bot could make use of it for a reference.
