Celebrate the Raspberry Pi Birthday with element14!

image

Are you a Raspberry Pi Fan or Enthusiast?  Will you be in Chicago, Illinois (USA) or Leeds, England (UK) on Monday, February 29th?

If you answered "Yes" to both of these questions, we'd like to invite you to join the element14 team in celebrating Raspberry Pi's 4th birthday.

The element14 team will make stops in Chicago and Leeds to celebrate with Pi fans.  Be one of the first 50 attendees that show up at each location to celebrate and take a photo with us to get your hands on a goodie bag.

We'll even have some Raspberry Pi's to give away! Once the goodie bags and giveaways are gone, so are we, so try and get there at start time!

Not able to make it to Chicago or Leeds on the 29th?

You can still join in on the fun from your computer, phone or tablet by following us on our social media channels! We'll be Tweeting and posting on Facebook all day, where we'll also be giving away Raspberry Pi's to those who share the best photos of themselves with their Raspberry Pi's and Raspberry Pi projects to help us celebrate! (See Terms & Conditions)

Make sure to "Follow" this document for the latest details on the stops at the below locations so you are kept up to date with all the celebration news!

Or follow us on Twitter and Facebook to check out celebrations photos.

  • Chicago, USA (look for the balloons!)
    • New Stop Added! Union Station Plaza (South Entrance) (starting at 9:30 AM CST)
    • New Stop Added! Daley Plaza (starting at ~10:30 AM CST)

Begs the question, what would people like to see in a Pi3? Thinking there are many ways to go here, Pi zero already went the super inexpensive and small route. The other aspect to keep in mind are the founding principles of afford ability, open architecture, and standard interfaces.  I like the idea of more devices that can use the video connections like camera interfaces for high end video cameras.

Hi, and thank you.  Got the first two, but when I clicked the public, I didn't get what you had.  I got a list with Circles & People I might not have things set up completely.

I'm looking up train times and prices at the moment, If I managed to come I would need to be back home to pick my daughter up from school by 3pm, and then there's the wife to sweet-talk.

    (edit)

Well the train looks do-able a return is only £15.30 so I can get to Leeds for 11:09 that gives me plenty of time to get lost walking from the station to Farnell and then if I catch the train back at 13:53 I will have 25 minutes spare to get to the school, Guess I'm going to be doing some creeping and sweet talking tonight.

Given the state of the M62 typically, train's probably better!
