Announcement: The Reliable RoadTester Badge Is Now Live!

Hello, RoadTest Community!

I would like to announce that the Reliable RoadTester badge is now live on the community, and has been assigned to those whose contributions mean they have already earned it.

If you missed Randy's previous announcement, this badge is to reward our RoadTesters who have created three or more reviews in their history on element14. That's a significant contribution to our community, and we wanted to celebrate it!

Those who have already created three or more reviews should now see the badge awarded to them, and those in the future who hit the three RoadTest review threshold should see their badge automatically awarded. If you feel that you should have the badge but it's not appearing for you, please don't hesitate to comment here or message me directly.

Congratulations to those members who've reached this milestone, and we can't wait to see those who earn it in the future!

This was a fun one to setup and execute.

Working with the element14 Community content management system (Jive) has its nuances at the best of times, but finally being able to identify and reward for creating RoadTest Reviews was one thing I'm glad I managed to pin down.

Thanks to the way gamification works, and a bit of Python, I was able to grab the list of userIDs which Dan and Randy confirmed and threw my way, and were able to retro-actively award the badge! It was kinda disappointing to see that some amount of people who gained the badge are no longer regularly active on the website, but still it was awarded none the less.

While this is a badge you'll only receive once, you'll still be awarded a RoadTest Review badge for every Review you post to the site. We decided we wanted to especially reward those who had been consistent and show that managing to do at least three is important.

Once you complete three roadtest reviews, I am told our system will award you the badge. If you have already completed 3, you should be getting it automatically.
