9 out of ten, one more to come
Hi Bogdan,
I have had 9 replies from the ten recipients. I have committed to wait two weeks before withdrawing the offer to the tenth. If I do not receive any mail details by the 19th then I will have one kit spare.
I'm not exactly sure how I should give the last one out, whether to run another test, or maybe a competition. Any suggestions from yourself of any other group members would be appreciated
Hi Alistair,
Because there are some people late to attend to the event and not be able to attend due to the event has already closed, a new event seems the best solution.
In the meantime, if you decide to run a new event then i will not attend to that event. If you decide to choose the last user randomizely then be sure that that user is not me because i already have a TI TMS320VC5505 based evaluation kit. I had it later the original event.

Firat,
I would "disqualify" previous recipients. I could run a test for one kit, but I thought we could have a little more fun, maybe a quick competition, a poll or something just a little different from usual. My idea would be to have applicants post a quick summary of what they'd use the kit for, and then run a group members poll of which idea they'd like to see in practice. I'm not sure how practical it would be to implement
If there is no idea that people agree on I will just run a two day test,
Ally
I was thinking you should run a little puzzle, maybe something like the ones in Breaktime first right answer wins the kit, seems equitable and a bit more fun than just logging in to attend an event. I then realised however that RoadTest has members from all around the world, so people might not get an equal chance to compete (i.e. it might be the middle of the night for some when you post the question.
If you can figure out a fair time to post a question though and pre-announce the time it going to go live, I think that could be a bit of fun, a cerebral sprint race.
Otherwise I'd suggest taking the original non winning entrants + any new entrants and randomly select a reviewer to receive the kit.
Alistair,
You are right. I'd like your idea and i think the other members either.
Cheers,
