Hi There,
I knew already that Fluke makes unbreakable stuff. I bought my Fluke 70 series Multimeter when i was about 18 years and it is still my no 1 ' do it yourself around the house' device (after 20 years). The guy in the electronics shop threw it against a wall to show it's robustness. It would even argue that the quality is a bit too good, however the cost/quality ratio might be okay.
I like to point out that not only the mechanical accepts of Fluke multimeters are great but i like there protections also. The multimeters have sparkgaps against over voltage and explosion save fuses against over currents. Those fuses cost a fortune but it you have ever seen what happens when a normal glass type fuse is breaking a high DC current...
Best regards, Enrico Migchels
