Future RoadTests

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback on the other thread. We are working with our suppliers to hopefully get you some of these kits to test. In the meantime, I just wanted you to know about some of the RoadTests coming up over the next month or so. We are going to feature two NXP kits, LPCXpresso and mBed, we will also have Altera's Cyclone IV kit and Microchip's PicKit Ethernet. Keep an eye on the group for a chance to test all these market leading development kits

i'm working on TCP of microchip and I think is one of the best stack code

at the moment, especially because it si very well documented...

instead for FPGA i have work only with Xilinx and I would like to try also Altera!!!

    Hi Alistair,

Microchip Pic32 Ethernet and LPCExpresso are great. Mbed is also great. People winning those kit(s) will be very lucky. Those kits are in my WANTED list. Waiting for the event...

The Microchip PIC Ethernet Kit is definitely something I'm eager to look at. I can already imagine all that could be done with that kind of device.

I have tried the Olimex ethernet board, with the Microchip TCP stack. A very good solution, but a bit confusing with descreptacies in hardware between olimex and the Microchip board.

I ofcourse also would be hapy to test the micrchip board.

    Best regards

    Soeren

Very nice to hear about the Cyclone kit and I would also be very eager to test the mBed kit, not having any previous MCU programming experience.

Hopefully I will get lucky this time.

Excitement! I can't wait to try out the mbed too! Look at all the projects that are already out there.

Wow ... all of these kits are fantastic roadtest choices!

The mbed wiki which Michael Chuah pointed to is amazing. My favourite (astonishing) project is the componentless VGA. It's a very creative example of how far some of these devices can really be pushed!

The Microchip Pic32 Ethernet also looks like a great development platform - a lot of applications I can see that board in.

    Cheers,

        Robert.
