Upcoming events

Hey guys,

I've been asked by a few of you to tell you what is coming up in advance. I can't give a precise calendar, because we wait till items are available to send before we run the events. There are a couple of products, which I am not sure are released yet...yeah, you could actually have dev kits at the time of release! In those cases I've blocked out the product name. There are also more products added ad hoc, so there may be some tests that are not on the calendar.

Basically don't shoot the messanger if these run late or if more products appear unexpectedly! I'll try keep it updated as much as I can. You can also add suggestions in this thread. Hopefully there will be a few replies and updates here, so remember you can choose not to get email notification from the thread if you don't wish

Hi Alistair,

All are great products and i am really wondering the surprised kits' names. Wait and see, huh ? As i can see the products list, i think companies' eyes are on the roadtest. This is also so great!.

These all look very interesting. For this one, however, I was not able to easily find information about the product :

ADI T045 RFIF --> I suppose this is from Analog Devices Inc, but could not find any info on their site

Well, I understand you may not be able to give more details right now, and we should get some more when the roadtest starts, but my curiosity has been woken up ;-)

Yeah they are some pretty cool tests there, and plenty more to come. I been meeting a few suppliers who are detailing their releases for electronica etc, and I am very excited with some of the launches!

I really can't say too much as they haven't even been launched, but I think they'll be great RoadTests

The ADI one, it is not an official product and not for sale anywhere. It is an eval kit for some RF discretes. You should see that tomorrow/Wednesday. There is going to be a new update on the platform for element14 and some changes to RoadTests.. I'm getting a briefing tonight, so I'll also update here tomorrow before I add the ADI

As you're asking for suggestions, here is one :

For an idea (not yet a project) of mine, I'm looking for a distance sensor that could give a reading from 5 to 200cm at a resolution of about 1cm and most of all, use the least possible amount of power.
If anyone has recommandations, I can start another thread, but if a manufacturer wants to send a few samples for testing, I'd be glad to test one of them

Happy to read so much excitment about the Freescale products that you will be able to roadtest soon. So a little bit more details :

The product we will offer in Dec will be a development tool allowing you to test some of our new Kinetis products (32 bits MCU based on ARM Cortex M4)

I have a feeling if I am not lucky enough to road-test the Kinetis I will end up buying the development board anyway.
Was looking at the K60 overview datasheet, that chip has a lot of features.
