Hi all.
This is my first review, so bare with me...
I finally found some time to have at least a brief play with the mbed board that arrived in my letterbox about a week ago.
And I have to say, on first impressions, I really like it.
So far I haven't been able to dive into it properly (yet) but judging from the fact that it only took about 5 minutes from opening the box to having a 'hello world' style counter running on the board, and another 10 to have it talk to my terminal, it's looking very promising.
The 'drag-and-drop' programming method couldn't be more straightforward and the online documentation is excellent. There seems to be a *massive* amount of libraries around on the website, and they seem to be growing at a steady rate.
So far, I think it's a very good way of letting people with limited experience in microcontrollers make things that actually work!
Sorry this is a bit short, I will post more once I've actually had the time to make something worth writing about.
(any ideas?)
Nik
