Anyone here designing a circuit with an LED Cluster?

awinning

I've a chance of getting my hands on some samples of a product that will be launched in the next week or so from one of our major suppliers. Anyone working on a lighting project at the moment who'd be interested in have a play and giving us a short write up?

    Hi,

We have 2 projects in the pipeline, PIR based smart lighting at 240V AC, and a 24V DC project providing supplemental lighting around heavy (vibrating) machinery.

I'm keen in working with LED's, but I'm afraid I'm still a beginner.

Somewhat i would like to give it a go with a cluster... The main idea would be to build an adjustable room light given a PIR sensor and a light sensor. it's useless to use the full power of a light source if there is already enough light in the room...

If you have a sample to spare i would be more than grateful to get my hands on it image

I'm sure the company would want feedback from new users as well as more experienced lighting guys.

    Hi Alistair,

I have been planning to build a light ring to support my macro photography.  I would be interested in looking at the LED cluster as part of that solution.  So if you have an extra one, I could put it to good use and give you and the supplier a good report on what I find as I use it for that application.

    Thanks,

    DAB

Oooooh that's quite a nice idea... mind if I "steal" it for my own personal (non-commercial, amateur-ish photography) use? image

    Hi Alistair,

I'm trying to do a prototype of a NIR gauge for measure moisture. I need for this prototype only one specification for the LED cluster, that is i need Near InfraRed spectrum. I'm trying to do it without movile parts, if  I haven't this spectrum in Led cluster I use it to try light interference in the measure. If you have some free LED cluster, tell me.

    Hi Christian,

Would you be interested in collaborating on the project?  I can put my ideas together and then we can workout the details.  Then we can both build a similar unit and compare notes on how well it works for Macro photography.

    Thanks

    DAB
