Hello All,

 

We are aware of the issues that some of you are experiencing in RoadTest.  Please use this thread as a way to communicate with us any additional issues, status or comments you have in regard to this issue.

  • Hello!

     

    I still have problem with Road test review.

    I have edited it and it has disappeared again.

    I wanted to upload picture as well, I got the following error message:

     

    Unauthorized

     

    You don't have permission to do the requested action. You might need to log in to the system before you can continue.

     

    It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.           

     

    The main thing is, that in comments I am able to upload picture as well, and everything is displayed as it shall be.
    Update:
    When I click to read a review, the system doesn't recognize that I am logged in, so no menu on right side.
    When I navigate to any page away from this page, the system recognize me again.

    Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience.  Do you happen to if you were not logged in at the time when the "Unauthorized" message was displayed?  Are you still encountering the problem?

     

    In regards to disappearing 'Detailed Review', this is a bug in our code that I'm working on fixing.  It seems to be triggered by the presence of certain HTML entities in the HTML source of the review.  I'll attempt to manually update as an admin the 'Detailed Review' section of your review with your most recent comment and inform you if I am able to.  Sorry for the trouble, and we hope to get the root cause fixed as soon as possible.

    Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience.  Do you happen to if you were not logged in at the time when the "Unauthorized" message was displayed?  Are you still encountering the problem?

     

    I was logged in and in edit mode (Edit road test review). I click on insert picture, select it, then click on upload picture. Then the error message cames.

    After I am still in edit mode, and able to change.

    Maybe the two issues (editing/disappearing and picture upload authority) are separate or not, you know better.

    What is interesting, that if I place a comment, everything works fine (formatting, picture upload, etc)

    I still have not figured out how to upload images from my PC to E14 comments, blogs or road tests.

    If someone could explain to me the steps to go through I could greatly enhance my comments.

    Hi - thanks for the feedback and patience as we fix these issues.  I was able to manually edit your Detailed Review to include the images from your comment.  Could you please take a screenshot of your browser if you encounter the image upload permission denied error again?

    Hi DAB,

     

    Sorry to hear that.  Do you see a Camera icon in the GUI editor?  Clicking that should bring up a dialog box to select image files on your computer.

    Hi Drew,

     

    The las time I tried that it asked for a URL address.

    I will try it again to see if I can now browse my laptop directory.

     

     

    IT WORKED!            Now all I have to do is load the pictures onto my laptop.

    Hi Drew,

     

    I worried a bit to edit again the road test review, not to get it disappearing again... But it still doesn't work and I was able to create screentshot.

     

    BUT, I can't upload an image here (same error happen now here...)

    Great!  You should also be able to use images where you have the URL, too.  The third tab in the Insert Image popup is 'From the Web'.
