Hi Friends,
Everyday, many times in a day, i am checking the group activity but surprisingly it is too much silent. No new discussion, no new question. Surely nothing new. I was expecting some activity. Just wondering. What do you say ?

Hey Firat!
Sorry about the delays. I've been busy with my main job (editing the Technology First journal) at the minute. The Altera, Kvaser, and Altium kits have been distributed. I have to gather names for the Freescale winners, and I am still waiting on the Microchip kits coming in. Hopefully the winners of the kits who have been distributed will write something soon.
I also have new RoadTests coming up for Linear Technology, Texas Instruments and STMicroelectronics. I have the products on my desk at the moment, I just need a bit of time to get them posted.
Hi Alistair,
I have no doubt that you are quite busy. And you do well what you do. But the group member count is fair enough not to be in silence. If activity is done via direct communicating to the other members then i have no word to say. Maybe some communication should stay in personal but some may be shared with the other members. If there is no communication between members then this is extremely terrible. This group should not be one in which offers made, people get giveaways and maybe write some reviews and stay in silence till the next offer. I know there are so many groups about electronics or any interest people have. But, i think, we may find something to share here.
Maybe everybody, as i do, waits others write something
If so, we need someone to press the button <start engine>
Anyway, i am very pleased to hear about new roadtests. I am curious about what they are ? And to hear that kits have distributed already. Mine has not delivered yet but i think i will get it soon.
And finally, that is very nice to hear something from you. At least, you are here.
Best regards,
Firat Kocak
Hopefully we should see some Altera/Altium/Kvaser discussions soon. They were all posted before Christmas, so that's almost a month now.
The new products I will be putting up are TI's TMS320VC5055 eZsp USB Stick, ST's STM8S discovery and Linear's LTC3588EDD chips
Which product haven't you received yet? I'f it's the Microchip PICKit 3, I am sorrry about those, we ran out of stock, and I'll post them as soon as they come back in

I hope so, too.

I have 3 of STM8S. But because of my busy days, i have not tested them yet. The others seem to be very interesting and attractive. But ,probably, i will just attend to TMS320VC5055 eZsp USB Stick offer.

Yes it is. OK. I can wait as much as needed. No problem. Just wondering, i am located in Europe. In your one of the previous messages you have told that winners in Europe will receive their products before Christmas but people in America should have to wait for the new year. Do i remember wrong ?
Best regards,

You do remember corrctly, sorry did I not update?
We had a bit of a mix up. I left for holiday on 18th December, and left a colleague, Mei, to see to the postage. It turned out that the product manager who was withdrawing the kits from stock also went on holiday at the same time. After the holidays we found out the kits had been sold out, so we are waiting on more stock at the moment
I ordered a pair of the STM8S-Discovery's this morning after spotting them on the News and Features section of the Element-14 front page - looks like a super way to try out the technology without commiting much budget to it. I hope to be able to plug it into a project I've been working on with PIC micro's and do an in-product comparison.
If that goes to plan (and, I suppose, if it doesn't), I'll try and put together a little STM8S-Discovery for PIC Users roadtest doc.
The TI/Spectrum eZdsp usb does look rather nice too ... and Farnell aren't charging the usual £16 US Stock shipping this month ... where's that dev budget?
Hi Andy,
I'd love to read your roadtest of the STM8. I thikn a lot of people would be interested on here. I'll try my hardest to get the eZdsp RoadTest up on Friday

I'll get that an answer on that for you
