TI DaVinci based DM3730-EVK Evaluation Kit review

Hi,

I'm a bit surprised to see that there is no review for the TI DaVinci based DM3730-EVK Evaluation Kit (an expensive kit with many interesting features).

I'm wondering if element14 should update the selection process to ensure that important roadtest are correctly reviewed by selected members?

Thanks.

Why not comment on the one review that has been posted and ask when he will have the review done. Its only been a couple of weeks since he started to evaluate the kit, or so it would seem.

As you may notice, this roadtest is no longer open for review. So, maybe Element14 should give much more time to selected members to write their reviews.

Well they only had 3 kits available. Maybe sending a message to the other 2 recipients will give them the kick they need to start there review. Even though the road test is closed when those individuals look at the road test page for that kit there names are still listed in the upper right corner with a link for them to write there review. So there is no need to give them more time to write the review. IMO 3 to 6 weeks from the time you receive the kit is plenty. In that time period they could always put together a decent overview of the product and inform those interested that the tests are ongoing and when they plan to have the review finished. Much like the one review has already done on this kit.

While Element14 doesn't put allot of pressure on those selected to review a product, other then possibly blacklisting those who don't write the review and earn that product. The community as a whole can help to encourage those who have received a review product to write there reviews.

    Are you sure?

Because it seems to me that when a roadtest changes from 'roadtest in review' to 'past roadtest' you can't write a review anymore.

As an example I was recently picked to do the review on the Agilent U1272A HH DMM and U1177A Blutooth Adapter (shameless plug). It has recently passed into the past road test section. One month after the enrolment period passes it drops to that section. While I'm not logged into the site the block on the right hand side that use to list those who enrolled is blank. When I log back into the account I see my name there with the Read Review link. So I assume that those who haven't started writing there review see there name too. I suspect that the option to write the review is given there as well. Since when you are chosen the link next to your name is for writing your review. Once the review is written it changes to read review.

    The question is :

Does the option to write a review is still given after the roadtest passes into the past road test section?
