Converting a Sharp LQ064A5CG01 TFT-LCD to a standard 15 pin vga plug

I have an old TFT-LCD out of a vehicle.  I want to use it to make a dedicated music player.  The problem is I cant figure out how to convert the 10 pin connection to the 15 pin vga. 

 

I got the backlight to come on, but that's all.

 

I attached the pdf manual for your convience.

    as you can see from the diagram, pin 6 handles the composite video signal....  How does it do this with only 1 wire?   I tried to connect this one wire to rgb on the vga- nothing... tried separately- pin 6 to rgb red, green, blue, and nothing.  ( note: i am using a vga cable with one end cut off to wire to the 10 pin (8 wire) connector.image

    pin 6 and 7 are composite positive and ground, the rest are power and brightness control. if you can take pin 6 and 7 and isolate the wires you can get the standard component connection. Component is the kind used in old tvs. ground(pin 7) goes on the outside  part of the composite plug and pin 6 would connect to the center. you can verify this works by taking the connections for pin 6 and 7 and connecting them to another device.
