I am Road Testing the TI MSP430FR5969 LaunchPad Kit w/ Sharp LCD.
When I try to download Code Composer Studio it asks for an activation code.
Where can I find this activation code?
My Launchpad did not come with LCD demo firmware installed. I understand the LCD demo code is larger than the eval version of CCS can handle, can I still program the demo into my Launchpad.
Thanks,
Doug
There are demo's also with the Energia IDE that works on the Sharp96
for Code composer, you can choose the free licence, it should compile as the code amounts to 14K and the limit is 16K, that is really your only choice that does not involve buying the license which is not cheap, it should I believe also allow you 30Days of no limit if your still able to pick the evaluation license
See this
MSP430: Loading complete. There were 14828 (code) and 16 (data) bytes written to FLASH. The expected RAM usage is 4637 (uninitialized data + stack) bytes.
this is the MSP-EXP430FR5969_Grlib_Example code base as shown on my video here : SHARP96 LCD Library Compare
hope this helps
Thanks Peter,
It asks for an activation code before even letting me download CCS.
Where are you downloading from ? I have been asked for my specific information and what I intend to use the software for before download but not much more than that. Try this link, I have used both the online install as well as the offline install and have had no issues getting the job completed. Hope this helps.
