There usually isn't a specific test, the intention is the roadtester uses it as a product and puts it through its paces as is feasible to the fullest extent they're prepared to do.

Yikes, there has been a big mix-up. I was selected to road test this power supply (Thanks), but received an MP730028 US instead. I had written the whole road test blog, edited the intro video, gathered up the test apparatus and was just completing the unboxing section when I discovered it wasn't the correct instrument.

It was actually kind of funny - I was all psyched up to do the big reveal during the unboxing and.... suddenly I'm in a whole alternate reality. It was so unexpected, it took a few seconds to realize I had the wrong instrument. I was wondering why there were test leads. When it finally dawned on me that it was a multimeter, it was a strange disconcerting let-down.

I had set this weekend aside to complete the road test so this is going to mess up my schedule big time. I'm not sure where to go from here. I can try to reconstitute the packing material, although it won't be perfect. The big shipping box is gone, but I still have the nice cardboard suitcase for it and I have a packing tape reel.

I can sort of complete my tips and tricks blog about bench power supplies, but it would be missing the star of the show. I could use a different power supply and point out how the Multicomp would perform, but it wouldn't be the same as showing a Multicomp.

As far as switching the road test to a multimeter road test, I haven't wrapped my head around how to make that compelling yet.

    Doug,

We looked at the order request from our end. We ordered the bench power supplies. So it sounds like there was a hiccup in order fulfillment. We ordering going through that and shipping you the correct product, which is MP710081 US CAL.

BTW I don't mind doing a video review for the MP730028 instead of the MP710081, or both.
