ROADTEST POLL: Would You Be Interested in Roadtesting the New Low-Cost ZYNQ UltraScale+ MPSOC Dev Kit?

imageI plan on roadtesting this board in May. I'll be getting 10 kits. Let me tell you about the main attraction.

Some element14 members are familiar with the Ultra96-V2 dev kit, which uses the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZU3EG A484 device. This new board also uses the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, but a different version of device, the AMD ZU+ MPSoC ZU1CG. The ZU1CG device is a low-cost, dual-core entry point to Heterogeneous (Processor + FPGA fabric) Processing. Being a low-cost device opens things up for a lot more developers.

Here are a few details:

The ZUBoard 1CG provides the flexibility and versatility for engineers to experiment with and learn the AMD Zynq ® UltraScale+ Tm architecture. The affordable ZU1CG device features 81K programmable logic cells with a Dual-core Arm ® Cortex ®-A53 MPCore Tm and Dual-core Arm Cortex-R5F MPCore, as well as cache and on-chip memory. The board also features 1GB of ISSI LPDDR4 with non-volatile boot options in the 256Mb ISSI QSPI Flash or a microSD card slot. Microchip PHYs enable both 10/100/1000 Ethernet and USB 2.0 Host. A microUSB port provides on-board JTAG/UART access. Microchip oscillators and ECS crystals provide clocking to the ZU1 device, the on-chip real-time clock, JTAG, and communication interfaces. Power the board through USB-C with a Microchip controller and TDK μPOL Tm power modules.

Since this is a pre-roadtest discussion only, I just talked about the ZU board. When I launch the roadtest, I'll list all the contains. But if I recall it comes with a power supply, charging cable, a camera…

Board tragets use cases with SYZYGY extension. It has 3 ports and very few other expanding options. Do sponsor plan to add some like it was in case of Ecylpse Z7 RoadTest ?
