We Need You to Test a Cloud Connectivity Manager Eval Kit

rscasny
rscasny over 1 year ago

One of the most important functions of the element14 RoadTest programmer is to provide some feedback to a supplier who is launching a new product.

Imagine how important it would be to you, if you were introducing a new product to the marketplace and you had some people tell you that your documentation needs a change or you are missing a cable in your kit.

Suppliers come to the element14 community because they know that are members have the background to do this kind of testing.

Some roadtest products are sophisticated and involved to roadtest. I recall a gate driver roadtest a few years ago that was really challenging to roadtest.

And some roadtest products are easy to roadtest. I would put the Raspberry Pi in that category. Even most Arduino boards.

A sponsor would like element14 members to test its new Cloud Connectivity Manager Eval Kit. They say it is easy to use.  Let us help Infineon to verify what they say is what a new customer should experience.

As far as review writing, some roadtest review reports and involved. I am thinking that the report for this product should not be.

If you are a member who would like to get involved in the roadtest program, yet does not have a ton of spare time, this may be the product to start with.

I encourage you to visit the roadtest enrollment page. If this interests you, click the enroll button.

Very generous. But not needed. The exercise can be done for free. Either with a new trial account, or with an existing account at no extra charge.

My first 3 hours of trying to "Get Started" have not been very productive. I'm having thoughts of ending this roadtest early with pyrotechnics. Maybe I'll start again fresh tomorrow.

AWS do indeed provide free credit - in order to get people using AWS. This will definitely be sufficient for any road testing. One small warning though. Whilst Azure will stop working if you run out…

i do have a question. this, and all the other available road tests say not available in the country i'm in, but the rules don't mention a specific country. i wonder why this is?

    thank you.

also, to clarify, the country i'm in isn't in trade sanction lists from the US, the EU or the UK

You should be able to apply for this roadtest now. Try to.

oh, thank you, i don't think i'll be taking part in any road tests for now, with the Flyback transformer contest going on. It was more of a general question about the inability to enroll due to location when my location shouldn't be excluded according to requirements, and this has been the case in the past, when i've wanted to take part in a roadtest. Just checking, it seems i'm only able to enroll to this one and not the others currently available(which again, not considering roadtests while busy with the flyback project, just curious about the limitation)

although, the AD3 roadtest would pair in nicely with the flyback project, as it hs basically all the instruments one would need to test a power supply, for an electronic load
    thanks again!

thanks, so, is there a reason why this happens with every road test?

We have a long list of countries to select from to make the roadtest viewable. For business purposes and costs, we do not advertise in every single country in the world. I have not been shipping roadtest products to Colombia and maybe that's why it was not included. But now it will be included going forward. Really, all you would have had to do was contact me and I would have added your location to the list, assuming the country is authorized.

We don't give a roadtester products for two roadtests at the same time.

    It shouldn't.

If you're having problems applying for RoadTests please raise it in  Feedback and Support by raising a problem, and we can look into it and escalate it with the development team, this may be a technical issue rather than a "you should allow it in this country" issue as the team may have already permitted it, I'm sure you're wanting an element of fairness and justice with this, so allow us to ensure that there's no other problem going on by reporting it in a place that's visible to those that escalate problems.

    Thanks.
