Seeking Your Feedback on Roadtesting an Artificial Intelligence Eval kit

rscasny
rscasny over 1 year ago

imageI've been speaking with a sponsor about roadtesting its new AI Eval kit for machine learning applications.

I'd like to get your interest in this kit, so I've posted below some info about it.

The sponsor was interested in learning how you would roadtest this kit. They would like to see your ideas to better define the goals of this roadtest. So, if you have any thoughts feel free to add any comments about roadtesting below. Thanks.

What is the kit?

Infineon’s PSoCTm 6 Artificial Intelligence Evaluation Kit is a hardware platform focused on Edge AI. It enables customers to evaluate Infineon’s Machine Learning platform IMAGIMOB Studio, as well as ready to deploy ML models, and other SW products.

Here are some more info and features:

AI is game changing technology that we really need to be learning. This platform is a good system to learn on, and the price is right. However, from where I am on the journey, this seems like too much of a commitment to handle right now. I doubt I could develop a working application in any reasonable time frame.

I have had the opportunity to learn & work on embedded edge ML model training & deployment, especially on image, accel & audio data. Today, all sectors are trying to incorporate AI into their workflow. This roadtest would definitely provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the PSoC architecture, ModusToolBox and the new Imagimob AI Studio. The availability of multiple onboard sensors in the kit is a plus to acquire data & train various models.

I may be in the minority, but I just don't find AI or ML interesting. I like small precise stuff like coding in C where you know exactly what it going on. I just don't get "it's 98% likely to be a car but I can't tell you why". That and the fact that getting AI to 100% accurate seems like it will be forever just out of reach.

This would be a fun project to road test I currently have a Google Coral and a few LLM's I created but the coral is more difficult to use. I would like to see how this product performs compared to the coral I also like the fact that it has many built-in sensors and IMAGIMOB Studio this will really streamline creation of LLM's.

Interesting device. Infineon recently announced AI targeted PSoC Family: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/microcontroller/32-bit-psoc-arm-cortex-microcontroller/32-bit-psoc-edge-arm/

but on this board there is still old good PSoC 6.

This would be a fun one to play with! I’m in the middle of a big move (Wisconsin over to Michigan) so don’t have the time available… :(
