Road Test Resurection - FDC2214EVM

Hi there was a road test competition initiated on January 14 2016 for an  FDC2214EVMFDC2214EVM capacitance-to-digital module

I had applied for it and then it went dormant with no announced winners for over a year until I got an  FDC2214EVMFDC2214EVM in the mail out of the blue a week ago

I'm not sure what the new logistics are - this road test was no longer even a factor in planning my schedule, however I did scramble around and make time to put together a road test.

But how to publish it - the "Create Road Test" page does not have this module listed. The e14 search engine doesn't even find this road test page:

Should I just post it as a regular blog, or will the road test page be updated to carry it?

    I apologize for the confusion and the total mess of this RoadTest.

    Let me address what I think are the outstanding issues:

     

    1. Clearly, the ball was dropped a long time ago as far as this roadtest goes. Given the abruptness of its "resurrection," it's unrealistic and would be unfair to you to change your schedule for this roadtest. My sincere apologies if I left this impression. I realize you are probably a very busy person, so if you have the time to do this roadtest, I would appreciate it.

     

    2. The part was sent out to you while I was on vacation. So the person who sent it out probably did not know that the roadtest application needed to be updated so you can see the button for the official roadtest form. I just updated it so you should be able to see the button on the roadtest page:Texas Instruments FDC2214 Capacitance to Digital

     

    3. I took over RoadTests in Oct/Nov 2016 so I'm not sure what occurred a year ago when this roadtest was launched. It's caused unnecessary confusion for sure. I want to correct any outstanding problems for this roadtest or others. So please contact me or comment and I will try to remediate any deficiencies. Thanks for your participation in the element14 community and the RoadTest program.

    Hi Randall,

     

    I kind of assumed that was the case.

    In the early road test days I usually received the part without an email explaining who was selected.

     

    I have already started looking at the part and I am planning some interesting tests with it.

     

    I recently purchased a Cypress Semiconductor capacitive sensing board as well, so I will be comparing the two different technologies in some similar applications.
