Thanks for bringing this up, I actually noticed it recently with a RoadTest applicant who marked UK as his country when the city was in Serbia. Clearly he must have had the same issue. Let me raise this with our team and see what we can do!
I got some guidance from our team, and it turns out that, for reasons having to do with links to product, we don't include country options on the community for those where we don't have a specific site. So, for example, if you indicate UK as your country your links will likely take you to uk.farnell.com (some exceptions apply here). For countries without a specific site, users should choose "other country not listed," and they are taken to export.farnell.com.
This doesn't at all affect participation in our programs, however. We always will google check addresses before shipping parts / kits, and it would certainly help to indicate your country somewhere in the fields, as you mention you did.
