What do you all think about this comment on the BeagelBoard BeagelBoard vs the Raspberry Pi???
""In a recent interview with Linux User & Developer, Raspberry Pi developer Eben Upton got a chance to talk about the performance of the upcoming SoC that is due out later this month. “Raspberry Pi, in terms of multimedia, outperforms any other dev board in existence – which is nice,” explained Eben, “In terms of general purpose computing, it’s got this 700MHz ARM11, and our benchmark shows it’s about 20 per cent slower than a BeagelBoardBeagelBoard for general purpose computing. But, you know, it’s a quarter of the price.”"" source http://bit.ly/xYpCry
I am interested in testing this as a controller for gathering sensor information and displaying it on my Harley. Lateral G force, acceleration, direction (compass), temp, etc.
I would like to get this brilliant piece of engineering because i would use it for a fully prepared touch screen, wifi, bluetooth, gps equipped in car media and online center. that would be awsome! Thanks so much!

it's perfect!!!
Just been to see the TI open source hardware stand at Embedded World in Nuremberg - they were doing some really cool stuff with the Beaglebone and had some interesting new capes for it that they had just…
Didn't see any capes featuring HDMI, but that definitely sounds like a good idea. The only thing I would wonder about is whether the breakout pins would be able to carry that data load quick enough to…
