It is very nice this new proyect. I hope to get one and share it with my partners.
They've been available to order here in the UK for a couple of days priced at 16.56 GBP + whatever your local VAT % is.
There are no V4L drivers yet, but latest raspbian has a couple of applications that can be used to capture still images or video.
The lack of drivers is sure to be fixed in time, but for now likely means that none of the generic linux apps will be able to make use of the camera.
Nice, I was wondering when will it be available to get a camera for thous sockets on PI. thame goes with LCD socket.
An there are any drivers needed for this cammera? Or Rasbian OS hase it? Does it work the same as USB camera, can I use it on OpenCV? How much is it going to be priced?
