HARTING’s preLink® Ethernet connection system is unique as with a single termination a user can change between many types of connector styles (RJ45, M12 D or X-code, etc).

 

 

 

 

There are two major components of the HARTING preLink® systems:

  • The first component is the plug/socket and the second component is the termination cube.  The plug and sockets have many options including RJ45, M12 D & X-Code, PushPull, Han Modular, Han 3A.

 

  • The second component is the termination cube which contains eight IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) contacts and fits into the entire preLink® plug and socket family. The termination cube can accept up to eight solid or stranded wires of different cross-sections. 

o   The termination process is a single step using the preLink® assembly tool.

 

o   An Ethernet cable, with the termination cube attached, can then be easily inserted into any of the preLink® plugs providing robust and reliable connection.

In addition to quick and easy assembly process, the HARTING preLink® product line provides various additional benefits. Those benefits include:

  • Zero defect assembly process.
  • Capability to use 4 pair cable with a 2 pair connection system, the plugs and sockets have resistors for unused pairs, allowing customers to future proof their designs.
