TI has done some very interesting design work for this sensor.  I look forward to an extended test of the device.

I don't know if this link could be of any help to you. There you will find a few photos, a schematic an a link to a datasheet, perhaps collating all the info together you might be able to work out how to wire your sensors.

It is ironic that I received notification of this post while attempting to locate information on Google with regards to a PIR sensor's pinout.  

Pretty sure I took the red pill...   

I have have a few PIR sensors that I would like to use for a project. Unfortunately the wires are not labeled on the PCB and I am having some trouble locating a pinout. The only features are 3 wires, the silicone wire shielding is black but bare wire is colored red, natural copper, and blue. On the front of actual sensor is written "PIR AM312". They are new sensors aquired from LED security lights I purchased for cheap. If anyone could help me identify it I would be very thankful. I can provide a photo.

    Luckily I have one that has the pinout marked on PCB and potentiometers for sensitivity and time. I would like to utilize these other unlabeled PIR AM312 if possible.

     It would be interesting to see a 4 PIR sensor array capable of 360 detection if one has not been created yet.

AFAIK, It's a road test, as well as a road test is. So you can see that there is a road test. Simply it is not promoted to the community users but by the other aspects it is, not secret. This is what I deduce by what I see.

TI have certainly got a few PIR sensor designs going at the moment - all slightly different. One of the projects on my to do list is a network of PIR / temperature sensors. For this something like their TIDA-00489 design looks like a great starting point. TIDA-00759 is different but also good. There's a nice BOOSTXL-TLV8544PIR booster pack too.

Ever (sic) so often, a supplier would like element14 to test a product or a reference design that is custom built for the RoadTest. This is such a case. The RoadTesters are specifcally selected. Hence, it's not an open competition.

probably a limitation in the software.

IMHO it is almost easy; they select a private pool of potential road testers then invite them, more than the number of available kits. The rest of the process follows the normal flow, they evaluate the projects and together with the supplier decide what are the selected road testers.
