Evaluation Type: Evaluation Boards

Did you receive all parts the manufacturer stated would be included in the package?: True

What other parts do you consider comparable to this product?: I am also looking at the Cypress Semiconductor evaluation board.

What were the biggest problems encountered?: My ADD, but so far I was able to easily follow the directions.

Detailed Review:

I want to thank Element 14 and TI for selecting me to review this part.

I have started this quick review as I work on my next set of testing.

As Douglas Wong has done an excellent job of going over the demo software all I will do here is agree that the device exceeded my expectations and that the supplied TI software is very useful in my evaluation.

I want to explore some of the more subtle issues with capacitive sensing beyond just the touch and distant control issues.

One of the issues I want to explore is using the sensor to detect different substances in water.

I will begin using various concentrations of salt and then look at some other chemicals I have to see the effects on the sensor in different permittivity settings.

These investigations are part of my on going analysis into a new atomic model, so I want to see if I can verify some of my theories using simple testing technics.

I also have the TI Magnetic Sensor and I plan to use it to see if the same effects can measure permeability changes due to different concentrations of materials.

That is all I have for now.
