I'm a noob, and wonder how many others are as well.....
There is nothing wrong with being a noob. It means that you are still learning and growing. No one can ever know everything and no one wants to be around those who think that they know it all. I hope to still be a noob at 90, It's better than the alternative, which would be senility.
I am an old fart, i use to sit and program my timex sinclair for fun, till one day i took it apart, since then ive been taking things apart to see whats inside. it.
I totally agree, software moves faster than hardware but there's always something to learn.
Just to give everyone some perspective, the change of technologies makes us all noobs for a period of time while we learn to use the new technology.
I have been doing engineering for forty years and I just started learning the PSOC devices and tools from Cypress.
So in many ways, you are always a noob. It helps keep you humble and ready to learn new things.
Just a thought,
