Freescale Semiconductor is collaborating with Neusoft Corporation and Green Hills Software to establish a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems ecosystem designed to dramatically speed and simplify the creation of next-generation automotive vision applications.
Thanks to a new partnership between chipmaker Freescale and software companies Neusoft and Green Hills Software, the idea of self-driving cars is becoming just another technology on the computing industry's parts list.
The partnerships will produce an automotive vision chip that can be used to help cars understand the environment around them. That includes things like detecting pedestrians, traffic lights, collisions, drowsy drivers, and road lane markings.
