Is there enough energy available from 14 Volt systems to power the cam train, steering and in car entertainment/navigation systems?
I thought that the future limititations of emissions in Europe would shift the EMF from the engine to electrical systems. The power is just not available from 12/14V dc to drive the mechanical devices and so release the engine from the load enabling much smaller engines to propel the vehicle. This was supposed to be the way of cleaning up emissions by putting more exhaust scrubbers in line which has the penality of reducing the BHP to the road wheels.
