Come impostare l'Inverter?

Former Member
Former Member over 16 years ago

Salve,

Grazie.

    Hi John,
From your post, it was not clear what type of motor controller you are using.  But unfortunately, I don't know of any standard on how various motor controllers should work. In general, you would need to refer to the specific manufacturer's documentation to determine how to control motor speed for a specific controller.

    Dear Pat,

Thank you very much for your prompt answer, you have absolutly reason when you spoked about engine and producer of Inverter

    I designed a KERS system.
    The engine is syncronous motor

    The producer is Toshiba

I prepared all details in order to control my engine, I need to send a bref pulse of current to speed my motor, so, I used current control to set my

speed with my engine in feedback and Ultracapacitor to supply my systems. I defined my max bandwith and  complete all project design, but, I need to set my PID, I read the Datasheet of producer and I see that they include a software necessary to make this type of control, my problem is that I dont know what I have to do? final fase is usually difficult because I need pratices.

Ps:( Ultracapacitors are used to save energy on di-accelaration o stopping fase)

    Thank you,

    Omer

Products that use PID algorithms will usually provide some type of automatic tuning function or parameter optimization function to assist with setting your PID parameters.  This is usually done based on the response of your specific system during samples of actual operation.  If the software does not provide an auto-tune function, you will probably have to tune the loop manually.  There are many documents that discuss PID control in general, ranging from a very scientific approach to more of a "trial and error" approach.  You might start by reviewing the Wikipedia document on PID Controllers. It gives a good introduction for manually tuning PID loops, plus a wealth of other information.
