The aftermarket world is paying more and more attention to the Mercedes SLS AMG and the German supercar has recently receive a new performance package, one that comes from HMS Tuning.
The 6.2-liter V8 engine has dropped the natural aspiration in favor of the tuning company’s Xtra Power Supercharger. The powerplant was also gifted with a new oil pump, intake manifold, a high-performance air filter, a fresh exhaust system that allows the driver to play with the sound using valve control, as well as a new ECU map that manages all the new tech goodies.
Thus, the V8 now delivers a mind-blowing 720 hp and 832 Nm (614 lb-fr). For the sake of comparison, we’ll tell you that, when it leaves the factory, the engine produces 571 hp and 649 Nm (479 lb-ft).
