Last time we caught up with Thingblox CEO Gabor Borjan, he compared the Startupbootcamp IoT experience to a speeding bullet train. As he and his colleagues prepare to present ThingBlox in front of an audience of investors, partners and customers at Demo Day, Gabor chuckles that the bullet train has transformed a rocket ship.

Just days before the Demo Day event was held, we caught up with Gabor to discuss how his product has evolved and what the future holds for ThingBlox...

The evolution of ThingBlox

The opportunity to receive feedback from a wide variety of mentors and industry players informed a number of changes Gabor and his team made to their plug and play hardware modules. The product has been expanded significantly, offering un-hackable IoT security to an even wider range of networks and standards.

In terms of the business model, Gabor and his team were pleased to validate that their original idea was broadly correct, meaning no major changes were necessitated. The chance to build relationships with new partners has opened up a number of exciting opportunities for ThingBlox to take their business to the next level.

The future...

After Demo Day, ThingBlox will be focusing on developing connections with their new partners, raising capital and put their products onto the market. "Startupbootcamp IoT is just the beginning" affirms Gabor. Having accomplished so much already, it seems the ThingBlox journey won't be slowing down any time soon...

ThingBlox is a Hungarian startup that develops small, hardware-based modules to provide secure communication to any kind of connected devices, without the need for extensive coding experience on the part of the end user. You can learn more about them on their official website.
