    Hi Abhishek,

I have a 300m twisted-pair cable connecting 2 video op-amps - which forms a balanced video feed over twisted pair. However, with the cable being coiled, and plugged/unplugged, I am seeing ESD problems which keep blowing the op-amps. I'm baffled by the range of TVS devices.

Being a PAL CBVS signal, I need a low capacitance one, but the Littlefuse range doesn't even appear to specify capacitance in their specs. Any pointers you could give me? I'm hoping it will be in a relatively large SMB package (eg SMB, or 0805 minimum size, if it's in chip form), and have the ability to take repeated ESD strikes over many years. Clamping at 5V or over would, I guess, be suitable. I intend to use the same device for a 5V RS485 twisted-pair data line, also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Neil.image
