STM32H743II

First discussion post, so sorry if this is not in the correct location...

Just seeing how many that read this discussion are making projects using the STM32H743II or similar MCU and if you use the Atollic TrueSTUDIO IDE.

I run Atollic natively on a Linux OS, downloading ELF file to MCU as debugging is fine.

How many use Atollic to download the "release" version file into the MCU, or are there other recommended ways to do this with dedicated STM programming software? (Preferring to stay with in Linux even if have to use WINE).

Finally are the fuse setting for RDP / read out protection possible to set with in main.cpp / other included files or are they better being set with in for example ( STM32CubeProgrammer software for all STM32 )?

I'm more than a little puzzled - Atollic True STUDIO is no longer supported and is replaced by Cube IDE: from the web page: For new designs we recommend using STM32CubeIDE instead of Atollic TrueSTUDIO…

You will be limited to the code size with the Keil IDE unless you pay for a license. You should not have this restriction with STM32CubeIDE.

Great thanks Michael for the reply and tips.

I downloaded / installed CubeIDE feels similar to Atollic.

Also downloading and looking into Keil development tools.

Yeh I was hoping that would be the case for fuses to be set with in IDE at least so the ELF / any output format file would be complete as a “binary”.

    Ta,

    Ray
