SCSI to IDE

Has anyone ever designed a SCSI to IDE interface as a project?

I just so cannot justify $80 for an interface when a standard Microcontroller can do the job

    I had not designed a SCSI solution before.
    Is the MCU that you mentioned and recommended to your customer a SCSI to IDE microcontroller? The following is a SCSI to IDE adapter named AEC7722 which is being sold by ACARD Company and regular price is $88. The core IC is ARC765.

    I think the microcontroller you mentioned should integrate a SCSI and an IDE controller at least. Thereby it is an ASIC. A standard MCU is not suitable to implement the function.
    Does anyone have more valuable recommendation or information?
