The MAXQ613 16-bit RISC microcontroller features an infrared transceiver, 48 Kbytes of flash, and 1.5 Kbytes of SRAM. The chip operates from a 1.7 to 3.6 V, which allows it to be powered from two standard AA cells. To increase battery life, the MAXQ613 consumes a low 200nA (typ) in stop-mode operation. It is suitable for low-power applications such as remote controle, thermostats and blood pressure monitors.
The microcontroller includes a USART, an SPI master/slave communication port, an IR module with carrier-frequency generation and up to 24 general-purpose I/O pins. Additionally, the MAXQ613 provides a secure memory-management unit (MMU) to prevent device cloning and unauthorized access to sensitive application code.
The MAXQ613 is available in a 32-pin TQFN/LQFP or 44-pin TQFN/TQFP or as a bare die packaged IC.
