PIC32 Development Board

Former Member
Former Member over 9 years ago

Hi,

I've been trying to get into playing around with micro-controllers. I found Bens video on making a PIC32 development board interesting, but was surprised to find no clear diagrams on how to replicate it.

So my question is does anyone have diagrams for a PIC32 development board they are willing to share with me ? I tried to reverse engineer the board from the YouTube video but I'm not experienced enough to do this reliably.

I am ordering an Arduino starter kit (outrageously overpriced where I live) so I have the Atmel side of micro-controllers covered. And I feel like I should try out Microchips line of micro-controllers before I move on to advanced projects with either.

I'm currently playing around with circuits on Fritzing, if anyone has Fritzing specific files by chance. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated image.

Hi Wouter, I think the Curiosity board supports the 8-bit range, not a PIC32 I think? But it is easy to get overwhelmed with the choices, there are many manufacturer boards not just Atmel/Microchip. Regarding…

Have you tried microchip.com?  I checked a starter kit and development board and both have documentation with schematics.  Start at the PIC32 page and select "Tools" from the tree.

Hi thank you for the tip, are the Microstick II and Microchip curiosity good board to base off of ? Or even to buy to get started with PIC development ?

I don't have any experience with PICs.  I've used other Microchip products and always had good luck with their web site and data sheets.
