Best microcontroller to use for bluetooth board (Eagle)

Hi there,

 

I'm currently trying to create a PCB that incorporates an HC05 master/slave module to send data over bluetooth(as small as possible I created a simple board that uses the  ATTINY85-20SUATTINY85-20SU but I'm not exactly sure if that's the best microcontroller for what I need I'm using this HC-05 schematic http://wiki.iteadstudio.com/Serial_Port_Bluetooth_Module_(Master/Slave)_:_HC-05#Hardware . If anyone could point me in the right direction for creating a PCB for this purpose, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • I'm not sure how far you got with board design and whether you are just looking for a PCB fabrication shop. We might be able to help more if you elaborate on what your application requirements are.

    If you want to see some examples, I have used HC05 modules on several projects - two different microcontroller PCBs incorporating these modules can be seen in this blog:

    Sudden Impact - Crown Tools and Heart Reactor - updates 1-39

    I used the $4 PSoC4 prototyping kit from Cypress Semiconductor as the MCU in both of these projects. The PSoC Creator development environment is free.

    An alternative small platform would be an arduino pro micro.(Leonardo compatible) which is a little more expensive and the CPU is not as capable, but it is small.
