About the event:
“Robot intellect’11” - the competition of intelligent autonomous robots - is organized for the first time in the East Europe region. The purpose of this event is to promote progress in the development of artificial intelligence, improve and develop intelligent control systems, encourage application of robotics and mechatronics in various fields. During the event the most talented pupils will be encouraged to choose technological studies in Lithuania. Together with “Robots intellect - 2011” the international conference “The 6th International Conference on Electrical and Control Technologies” and exhibition-contest of the works of KTU young scientists “KTU Technorama 2011” will also take place in KTU. This year we expect about 2000 visitors and about 50-100 participants to the event.
The objectives of the event:
The development and increasing demand of high technologies motivate the universities to train professionals in the fields of robotics, mechatronics, digital intelligence, telecommunication and control systems. The organized event gives students opportunity to demonstrate and assess their achievements as well as introduce the latest technologies and solutions to the public.
“Robots intellect - 2011” is a good opportunity to demonstrate the technological novelties and hi-tech potential of Lithuanian universities to the youth. This also can be seen as event which helps to disseminate the results of the applied scientific research. The competition itself will give feedback to the University and companies by using the ideas of talented and creative students in the development of education and business processes. “Robots intellect - 2011” also stimulates active collaboration between industrial enterprises and academic community.

The main task for robot constructors:
The task for competition “Robot intellect - 2011” at first sight may appear simple: autonomous mobile robot constructed by participating team should move through obstacle course and special limitations towards the search field where it has to find and bring back “Gold bag” to the start position. In fact, that is complex engineering and technical task. The robot must operate completely autonomously, cannot be remotely controlled.
Additional tasks:
First task: Introducing Your robot. The participants will introduce his/her constructed/purchased and programmed robot to the Event guests. The best and most creative introduction will be evaluated by special commission which will announce the winners and will award them with prizes.
Second task: Tracking a line. Robot will have autonomously track white/black line (width 2 cm, length 10 m) delineated on the floor. The fastest robots win.
Third task: The Labyrinth. The robot will have to pass simple labyrinth autonomously. It will be formed by the 10 cm height walls made of white cardboard. The fastest robots win.
Fourth task: Bringing back the ball. The robot will have autonomously pick up the ball (diameter 5 cm, weight 50 g) and bring it to specific location.
Election of the delfi.lt robot: The visitors of the website delfi.lt will vote for the most inventive and interesting robots. Their owners will get the special prize established by delfi.lt.

Threre wil be more, also you could propose some interesting task.
