Hi,
I'm designing an embedded product that features a mini usb port which we use for uploading/changing firmware but also for recharging the product's Li-ion battery. Has anyone come across an SMT mini USB connector that has switched inputs like you get on 1/4" audio jacks that allow for signal to pass through when there is no connection but switches that signal when you plug a connector in? What we're after is a way to leave the battery disconnected from the charger until a USB cable is plugged in. I can't find one but I thought someone here might have come across something.
