Although this part has been produced by TI's Analogue division it might be useful for anyone breadboarding embedded systems based on RPi , Arduino or other low cost platforms.

I just read about SchmartBoard EZ SMT adapters at Geek Times. These are adapters for fine-pitch SMT packages which are designed to be easy to solder by normal mortals. They have alignment grooves and already have the solder in place. Just add flux and reflow.
