eZ430-Chronos-915, CC110L, Tiva-C Radio communications issues, need help

Robert Peter Oakes
Robert Peter Oakes over 11 years ago

First let me apologise if this is in the wrong place, there is not many members in the TI Launch pad area and I need some help.  have posted this there as well.

I am working on a project and have come to a halt with part of it  , see The Electronic Referee  for an overview, I need to get moving but was stalled trying to get the watch communications up and running, in the past I have always used Energia and now need to use CCS (It seems)

the parts involved are as follows

CC110L RF BoosterPack

Tiva C Series TM4C1294 Connected LaunchPad

EZ430-CHRONOS-915 - TEXAS INSTRUMENTS - CC430, RF WATCH, 915MHZ, DEV KIT | Farnell UK

I am trying to get a CC110L 915Mhz booster pack radio to link up with the eZ430-Chronos-915 watch. The problem seem to be that no one has been working on the watch much the last year or more, Anaren who put together the CC110L does not seem to have CCS software to tun on the Tiva C TM4C1294XL

There are plenty of examples using Energia where the CC110l boards talk to each other but this is not using SimpliciTI so wont talk to the watch without significant changes on the watch also.

All i want to be able to do is send a string to the watch to display in the upper or lower line on the watch using I would assume SimpliciTI to do it. and then send a button acknowledgement back.  I have already managed to add an additional menu to the watch but the radio portion is alluding me, every thread/forum I have explored has failed to give me enough information to complete the task, either the example code is un available, the project was not completed or the developer ended up using something completely different to get them to talk.

I have already spent way too many hours learning the use of CCS and reverse engineering the menu system of the watch and I need to get back to the primary purpose of the project so need help

If you have done this before and can help that would be excellent

Thanks
